Avvataer’s Twin EP Release Sets the Tone for Loosid Records’ Future.
Avvataer’s latest milestone arrives not as a single statement, but as a carefully paired release: two EPs that reflect both the depth of his experience and the clarity of his current artistic vision. Now available across all major streaming platforms, these projects not only showcase his refined sound but also mark a significant moment for Loosid Records, as they become the first releases on the label not produced under the LOOSID name itself.
Born Walter Rosado in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, Avvataer brings over 15 years of experience into this moment. His journey into electronic music began with early exposure to iconic mix CDs, which sparked a fascination that quickly turned into a lifelong pursuit. By 2006, he was producing under the alias Waverokr, and by 2010, he had stepped into DJing, exploring a wide spectrum of genres including house, techno, dubstep, and drum and bass.
A pivotal chapter unfolded in 2013 when he relocated to Florida. There, he co-founded the project LOOSID alongside Janpier Beauchamp and Adrian Villaverde. The trio developed a catalog that ranged from expansive albums like Epicenter to collaborative works such as Mirage EP, building a foundation rooted in experimentation and versatility.

Returning to Puerto Rico in 2018, Rosado entered a period of artistic refinement. His releases with District Eight—Solar Wind, Aural, Etherica, and Subatomic EP—demonstrated a growing focus on sonic detail and conceptual cohesion. This evolution ultimately led to the emergence of Avvataer in 2021, a project that signaled not just a name change, but a redefinition of purpose. Releases like the Jupiter EP with Matteo Lugg hinted at the direction he would continue to pursue: immersive, textured techno shaped by both technical precision and emotional resonance.
These two new EPs represent the clearest expression of that direction to date. Rooted in techno yet deeply influenced by the natural landscapes of Puerto Rico, the music carries an organic quality that sets it apart. Avvataer’s process draws heavily from his time spent hiking and exploring, translating those experiences into soundscapes that feel expansive, dynamic, and alive. There is a balance at play—between power and subtlety, structure and fluidity—that reflects a producer fully in command of his craft.

Equally important is the role these releases play for Loosid Records. As the first projects on the label not produced by LOOSID, they signal a shift toward a broader vision. Avvataer’s selection as the first external artist to be pushed worldwide speaks to both his longstanding connection to the collective and the confidence placed in his work. It positions the label for growth while maintaining the artistic integrity that has defined it from the start.
Together, these EPs are more than just new additions to Avvataer’s discography. They are a statement of intent—an indication of where he stands today and where he is headed. With a sound that continues to evolve and a platform that is expanding alongside him, this moment feels less like a peak and more like a beginning.
For listeners, the invitation is simple: step into the world he has built, and experience the intersection of technology, nature, and vision that defines Avvataer’s work today.
